Red Earth Live is a NAMHSA member show.  Each 1st and 2nd placing will receive a NAN card.  This allows that horse the invitation to attend the national show. Red Earth Live is also a qualifying show for the Oklahoma Model Horse Exhibitors Congress.  Each 1st and 2nd place horse will be qualified to enter the 2009 Congress in November of 2009.

CARDS:  Each model must have a 3 X 5 card with the model's name, breed, and gender on one side, and your name on the other side placed next to it on the table.  Please make sure everything is easy to read - the judges will be picking up these cards from the 1st-6th place horses in each class, and the cards will be used to write up the results.  No horse lists are necessary. Please make sure that each horse has a second card in case of Champion callbacks, and have extra cards on hand in case one of your horses is in Grand Champ callbacks. Horses in multiple Performance classes will need a card for each class. When placing models on the table for judging, place your card with your name facing down.  You must provide your own cards. You may also place string tags on your horses for identification to prevent mix-ups.

All classes will be open; not limited to skill, age or years of competition. Halter classes will be limited to 3 horses per entrant for each class; performance classes to 2 horses per entrant for each class. One halter class per model only. Classes may be split as needed. *NO CLASSES WILL BE COMBINED FOR ANY REASON*

Doors will open at 8:00 AM -Judging will start promptly at 8:30 AM.
There will be a 10 minute time limit between performance classes and a 5 minute limit between halter classes. Timers will be used!  Please be prepared.

All decisions by the Judges are Final.  Any unsportsmanlike conduct *will result in you and your party being removed from the premises.* No refunds will be given to anyone who must be removed due to unsportsmanlike conduct.
In accordance to NAMHSA rules, no show holder, nor his/her immediate family, roommate, co-owner of models, etc. may enter a division at his or her show. ORIGINAL FINISH:  An original finish model is one which has not been altered in anyway, after leaving the factory, except for minor repairs.  This includes: plastic, china and commercially produced resins.
CUSTOM: Custom is defined as any model that has been repainted, sculpted, melted, reshaped or otherwise remade.
ARTIST RESIN: Artist resin is defined as any resin painted by the sculpting artist or offered unpainted, or any original sculpture from which resins have been made.
HALTER JUDGING: Breed classes to be judged primarily on breed standard and conformation.   No setups are allowed in halter classes. Halters are not to be used except when molded on the model. Each model may show in only ONE Breed class.
PERFORMANCE JUDGING: Performance to be judged on horse's appropriateness for the task at hand, ability, correct fit and use of tack/props and overall appearance.  Please include a card explaining entry with the exception of pleasure entries. A showmanship entry must have a handler.  A cart and driver are optional for a harness entry.   Riders are optional in all classes. Arena walls are not necessary for Pleasure & Costume classes. Showers are asked to not use props that are not absolutely necessary to the event being portrayed in regular performance classes (i.e.: judge's stands, grandstands, extra dolls, unnecessary animals, scenery, backdrops, etc.) to save time.  Large setups using these items should go in the Other Performance/Scene classes. Classes where a team is shown (harness, team penning, team roping, etc.) will have only ONE model carded and judged for placings -- the other model(s) will be considered props.
